The LAST BYTE Column (intended for August issue).

The February Column is at CMP now, and will be on the new CMP web site in a few days. There will be a link here, and in future to all the BYTE columns as they come out.
These are the continuation columns, and much like the ones in the magazine, but do note that I no longer have a large editorial staff, so it's all done by me. That is, I wrote all my own material before, but I had the BYTE team as backup. No longer. Alas.
