Jeremy Bentham was an XIXth Century English philosopher known as the founder of utilitarianism: "the greatest good for the greatest number" was his 'objective' criterion for the good society. He was a founder of the University of London. He still attends meetings of the Regents, at which he is recorded as "present but not voting." I took this picture at the University. Bentham had himself stuffed, and is now rolled into Regents meetings. Picture was taken with a 35 mm camera and scanned in. The black background happened when I tried doing some photo manipulation, and I left it because it seems appropriate...
