My condolences to his family and friends. His science fiction was full of interesting and important ideas. His science fact often makes me mad that we’re not already a spacefaring society. And this web site offered a truly rational take on many issues in and not in the news. Thanks for enlarging my life; rest in peace, Dr. Pournelle.

  4. Robb Borland says:

Thank you for being with us for so long. I’m not sure I’d have written any technical articles if it were not for you, always showing how important it is to have someone who can tell the ordinary people how life at the frontier actually is.

The next computer that enters my house will join clarke, asimov, gibson and lem and be named pournelle.

Safe travels, wherever you go now.
